Prix pour les étudiants

The Student Awards Ceremony will take place in the amphitheatre, on Thursday, September 2, from 16:00 to 16:15.

Awards will be presented to students by K.J. Kennedy and R. Iranpour as follows:

  • one award (Cdn$1000) for the best paper prepared by a student, as main author and presenter, for an oral presentation

  • two awards (Cdn$500 each) for the best poster presentations made by a student as main author and presenter.

Criteria for orals:

Scientific/Engineering merit, including originality, discussion
thoroughness (30%)
Quality of research, including technical sharpness (30%)
Visual support, quality of slides (20%)
Oral presentation, including capacity of answering questions (20%)

Criteria for posters:

Scientific/Engineering merit, including originality, discussion
thoroughness (30%)
Quality of research, including technical sharpness (30%)
Visual support, illustration (20%)
Conciseness, integration, outlines relevance (20%)
